From the beginning, we have been passionate about fulfilling one of the most commonly expressed needs in our community. Through a variety of events in partnership with local businesses, we have grown to hold a wide variety of safe, sober, all-ages spaces and events for the local LGBTQIA+ community.

OUR IMPACT
Heart of Winona was founded at the crossroads of unmet needs and fierce advocacy on behalf of the LGBTQIA+ community. Each of our members know first hand the struggles that all too often come with being queer in a rural area. Between a general lack of resources, there is also often little to no sober, all ages spaces for the community to connect. Out of these needs, which felt so near to the heart, our cause to create such spaces in our community of Winona began!

Heart of Winona was founded on April 29th, 2024! Since our founding we’ve had the joy of participating in many community events; raising awareness about our cause, and connecting with community members and allies alike.
